We bring our training, which is to listen objectively while guiding and highlighting areas that are of issue to you. Together we aim to make things clearer and more manageable for you.
You can use the sessions to explore yourself freely and confidentially. Counselling & psychotherapy both give you an opportunity for you to take back control of your own life through developing skills and strategies to cope or change.
Trainee Therapists: You may require therapy or supervision as a requirement of your course. Please ring me to talk over your specific needs in more detail.
Both short and long term counselling & psychotherapy are available. With an experienced therapist, short term work can be surprisingly effective.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
CBT is a short term talking therapy using a practical approach to help you become healthier and happier. CBT is based on the concept that your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and actions are interconnected, and that negative thoughts and feelings can trap you in a vicious cycle.
By incorporating mindfulness and meditation into therapy sessions you will be shown how to change these negative patterns. In turn this will improve the way you feel and help to deal with overwhelming problems in a more positive way, by breaking them down into smaller parts. CBT deals with your current problems, rather than focusing on issues from your past.
