Yoga Classes

We're excited to see Yoga back at The Bodywork Centre. New classes start this week with Tessa Jonson.

Tessa is an assisted stretching specialist and a yoga and meditation teacher. She's completed over 750 hours of professional trainings and worked with hundreds of clients, ranging from individuals to corporations such as Amazon, WhatsApp, and the Hyatt.

Thursdays 4:15pm-5:15pm: Yin & Restorative Yoga (from 3rd November)

In this deeply restorative, beginner-friendly session, you're invited to linger in gentle stretches to release deeply held tensions and to stimulate the body's innate ability to heal and relax. This is hugely beneficial for relieving back pain, improving joint mobility, and increasing energy flow throughout the body. You're encouraged to focus on your breath and bodily sensations to help you stay present, which is proven to help reduce stress and anxiety. Each class concludes with a lying down guided relaxation meditation to integrate the practice and to realign our physical, emotional, and energetic bodies. You'll leave class feeling calm, refreshed and centered.

Mondays 11am-12pm: Slow Flow Yoga (from 7th November)

An all levels class, we’ll move through a slow, deliberate, and mindful practice synchronized with soft, lengthened, and compassionate breathing. Each class begins with a gentle warm up of the neck and spine and then continues through a series of fundamental poses. This style of conscious movement gives you the opportunity to be fully present and in the moment, taking a break from your day to day worries, all while getting a full body stretch! We’ll finish every class with a short lying down meditation to integrate the practice and you’ll move on with your day feeling invigorated and present.
